Arizona Automotive Equipment, LLC, also known as Mohawk Automotive Lifts Southwest, started in 2004 by Mike and Karen Green. Their goal was to provide annual lift safety inspections and supply detailed inspection reports for customers to stay OSHA-compliant. After careful consideration, they decided to retire in 2021 and spend more time up north.
Enter, Jason and Brandi Byers, a husband and wife team committed to carrying on and improving upon the legacy created by Mike and Karen. Always encouraged to take risks and embrace opportunities by their families, Brandi and Jason tackled the opportunity to take ownership in January 2021.

Jason Byers
Owner
Jason Byers is a seasoned professional with over 18 years of experience in the automotive industry. Currently, he co-owns Arizona Automotive Equipment, an automotive equipment company, alongside his wife. His journey in the automotive field began as a sales representative for Hunter, where he quickly gained valuable insight into the business and honed his skills in sales and customer relations. His time at Hunter allowed him to develop a deep understanding of the industry’s inner workings, which later proved to be invaluable when the opportunity arose to join the company he now owns.
Throughout his career, Jason has developed a reputation for his integrity, dedication, and commitment to delivering high-quality products and services to clients. His passion for the automotive industry is matched only by his desire to provide innovative solutions and exceed customer expectations. As a co-owner of Arizona Automotive Equipment, he plays an instrumental role in shaping the company’s strategy, operations, and growth, ensuring it remains at the forefront of the automotive equipment sector.
Outside of work, Jason is deeply involved in his community. As an elder at Lincoln Heights Church, he dedicates time to providing leadership and guidance, fostering a strong sense of fellowship and spiritual growth within the congregation. He is also a devoted family man, proud to be the father of two sons, and strives to be a positive role model for them both in his professional life and his personal values.
In addition to his career and community involvement, Jason is passionate about maintaining his health, particularly in managing Type 1 diabetes. His commitment to health and wellness extends to raising awareness and advocating for better care and support for those living with diabetes, ensuring that his own experiences can help inspire and encourage others in similar situations.
Jason combines his expertise in the automotive industry, leadership in his church, and personal health journey to inspire and serve both his family and community with dedication and purpose.
Brandi Byers
Owner
Brandi Byers is the owner of Arizona Automotive Equipment, an established automotive equipment company that she runs alongside her husband. With a robust background in business and project management, Brandi brings a wealth of expertise in driving operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Before transitioning into the world of entrepreneurship, Brandi built a strong foundation as a high school business teacher, consultant, and project manager. Her experience in education allowed her to share her passion for business with students, equipping them with the skills needed to succeed in the modern workforce. As a consultant and project manager, she honed her ability to lead teams, manage complex projects, and deliver strategic solutions across various industries.
Brandi holds an undergraduate degree in International Business and French from Arizona State University. She is currently pursuing her MBA online at the University of North Dakota, further expanding her business acumen and leadership capabilities.
Outside of her professional achievements, Brandi is a dedicated mother of two sons. Her diverse background, strong work ethic, and commitment to continuous learning makes her a respected leader in both her professional and personal spheres.
Josue Lopez Acosta
Technician
With over a decade of hands-on experience in mechanical engineering and aerospace technology, Josue is a skilled and versatile professional committed to excellence. Since 2011, Josue has been working across various technical disciplines, including aerospace, mechanical repair, and maintenance.
For the past 10 years, Josue has worked extensively in aerospace technology, where he honed his technical expertise, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities. His experience ranges from working on advanced systems to troubleshooting and ensuring the highest standards of performance and safety.
In addition to his aerospace background, Josue has spent the last 5 years as a mechanic, where he applied his skills to a wide variety of equipment, ensuring the optimal functioning of machinery and vehicles. His mechanical knowledge is complemented by a strong foundation in practical, hands-on experience, enabling him to excel in both complex and day-to-day tasks.
A proud Navy veteran, Josue’s time in the military shaped his disciplined, mission-driven approach to work, emphasizing teamwork, leadership, and an unwavering commitment to quality. Outside of his professional pursuits, he is a dedicated family man, balancing the demands of a challenging career with a strong focus on his loved ones.
Currently, Josue is expanding his expertise in the lift industry, eager to contribute to advancements in this dynamic field. Chris Ramirez

Chris began his career in the automotive industry in 2018, working as a mechanic and quickly developing a passion for hands-on problem-solving. With a strong technical background, Chris has always enjoyed the challenge of diagnosing and fixing complex issues, ensuring that vehicles run smoothly and efficiently. His experience in mechanics has given him a deep understanding of automotive systems, which continues to inform his approach to sales.
Today, Chris brings his technical expertise and customer-focused mindset to his role in sales at Arizona Automotive Equipment, where he combines his knowledge of automotive repair with a genuine desire to help clients find the best solutions to their needs. His unique background allows him to connect with customers on a deeper level, offering insights and guidance that are both practical and informed by years of hands-on experience.
In addition to his professional career, Chris proudly served in the Army National Guard until 2022, where he dedicated six years to serving his country. His time in the military instilled in him a strong work ethic, discipline, and leadership skills that continue to guide his professional and personal life.
Chris is committed to delivering exceptional service and building lasting relationships with customers while continuing to grow and learn in the automotive and sales fields. When he’s not working, Chris enjoys spending time outdoors and pursuing his passion for hands-on projects.
Tung Chau
Technician
Tung has been immersed in the automotive world since 2009, starting his career in the mechanic industry and quickly establishing himself as an expert in engine and auto body restorations. Over the years, Tung has honed his craft, mastering the intricate art of bringing vehicles back to life, whether it’s restoring classic cars or repairing and rebuilding engines to their original specifications.
Known for his problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, Tung thrives on challenges, consistently pushing himself to learn and adapt to new techniques and technologies. His dedication to his work has earned him a reputation for delivering high-quality results and exceeding client expectations.
Currently expanding his skill set into the automotive lift business, Tung is eager to leverage his mechanical expertise to contribute to this growing industry. His hands-on experience and passion for fixing things make him a valuable asset in any technical environment.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Tung is a proud father of two children, and he enjoys spending time with his family. In his spare time, Tung is an avid tinkerer, always eager to work on cars and motorcycles—whether it’s restoring them, customizing them, or simply fixing something that’s broken.

With 25 years of administrative experience, Patti has built a reputation as a highly skilled and reliable professional capable of managing a wide range of tasks with precision and efficiency. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated an exceptional ability to work independently, taking initiative and ensuring that projects are completed successfully, even without direct supervision.
Patti’s wealth of experience spans various administrative roles, where she’s consistently proven her organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities. Her dedication to excellence and ability to adapt to any situation make her an invaluable asset to any team or organization.
